About Us
James is the principle photographer for Time Stopper Photography. He studied three-d art and ceramics for three years with Lilian Yoshi in Los Angeles. His early ceramic pieces, which combined earthy tones and textures with radical modern geometric shapes are a rare find today. They were ,to say the least, ahead of their time.
While attending the University of Southern California he designed jewelry for Jim Mitchell Studios in the L.A. Jewelry Mart. His pieces ranged from mini sculptures of dragons to large refractive geometric charms.
Leaving the mart he began wildlife wood sculpture and airbrush art. While photographing subjects for his pieces he found a new passion and began honing his photographic skills. He is an ASCAP songwriter and has judged a number of songwriting competitions. He has owned and operated a record label and artist management firm. So when it is said that he has a varied art background to draw upon we do mean varied.
James is assisted by his wife Elsie. As a former petite model Elsie brings years of retail clothing experience to every modeling and fashion shoot.
